Adalberto Mondesi (born July 27, 1995)is a Dominican American professional baseball player for the Kansas City Royals of the MLB. Mondesi is the son of former MLB player Raul Mondesi who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Adalberto Mondesi is sometimes called Raul Mondesi Jr by the media during his games or by presenting news about him(2015 to 2018).

Mondesi began his career when he signed with the Kansas City Royals on July 27, 2011, with a signing bonus of $2million. Mondesi later made his professional debut in 2012, with the Idaho Falls Chukars of the Rookie Level pioneer League managing to make. 290/. 346. 386 hits and three home runs in 50 games.

On October 3, 2015, Mondesi made his debut in the MLB world with the Royals in Game 3 playing against the New York Mets. This made history as no modern MLB baseball player has not made a debut at the World Series before.

Mondesi during his career in 2013 played for some teams including Lexington Legends(2013), Wilmington Blue Rocks, and Peoria Javelinas(all in 2014). In 2015, Mondesi played for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals of the Class AA Texas League in the 2015 All-Star Future Games.

In 2016, Mondesi became the first youngest Royal to hit a home run hurdle against the Detroit Tigers in the MLB. Mondesi ended the 2016 season coming off with .170/.214/.245 batting with five stolen bases.

Mondesi lasted the 2017 season in the AAA where he appeared in 25 games in the MLB batting.275/.306/.498 and 14 home runs with 32 stolen bases. He hit 9 home runs appearing in 102 games in 2019.

To begin the season in 2021, Mondesi got injured and returned to the Royals where he was placed on the injury list with a right oblique muscle strain but he finished the season appearing in a handful number of games for the team
