Calais Malik Campbell still plays as an American football defensive end with the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens. He was born on September 1, 1986, and is currently 35 years old.
He went to the University of Miami for his college football career before being selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round of the 2008 NFL Draft.
He was widely regarded as one of the nation’s top defensive end prospects. Campbell was selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the second round (50th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. Campbell was the sixth defensive end drafted in 2008.
The Arizona Cardinals had no immediate need for a starting-caliber defensive end but chose to make a value pick and draft Campbell after he unexpectedly fell out of the first round and was considered the top player available at the Jaguars transferred Campbell to the Baltimore
Ravens on March 19, 2020, in exchange for a 2020 fifth-round pick that they had previously obtained from the Atlanta Falcons. Campbell signed a one-year contract extension soon after the trade. Campbell re-signed with the Ravens on April 9 for a two-year, $12.5 million contract.
On March 9, 2017, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed Campbell to a four-year, $60 million contract that includes $30 million guaranteed and a signing bonus of $6 million.
The Jaguars transferred Campbell to the Baltimore Ravens on March 19, 2020, in exchange for a 2020 fifth-round pick that they had previously obtained from the Atlanta Falcons.

Calais Campbell, who is 35 years old, is still capable of performing. Perhaps he won’t continue to do it for much longer. After recording four-plus sacks in every season from 2009-2020, the three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowler finished with just 1.5 last season.
It was the first time he’d failed to earn a Pro Bowl or All-Pro honor since 2013. And it would all be a stunning development if he wasn’t already 35 years old.
