Born on July,1,1994, Christopher Flexen Jr is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners of the Major League Baseball. He plays as a starting pitcher for the team. He had previously played for the New York Mets and in the KBO league for the Doosan Bears. The 27-year-old made his professional debut with the New York Mets on July 27, 2017.

Flexen attained his high school education at the Newark Memorial High School in Newark, California. There at high school, he played as the quarterback of the school’s football team and made the varsity baseball team as a freshman.

Flexen was formally committed to the Arizona Sun Devils but was in the 14round of the 2012 Major League Baseball draft by the New York Mets. Flexen spent the 2012 season with the Kingsport’s Mets, where he posted a 1-3 win-loss record with a 5.63 earned average (ERA) in seven games.

Flexen struggled over his first three years in the majors from 2017-to 2019, so he headed to Korea and played with Doosan Bears in the KBO to right the ship in 2020. The right-hander has however pitched well and has thrown 4903 pitches from 2017-to 2022. He has relied primarily on his four-seam fastball (92mph) and cutter (87mph) and mixing in change (81mph) and curve 76 (mph).
