Deionte Thompson, a safety who competes in the National Football League, is currently a free agent. He is 1.85 m tall and 88 kg, and 1.85 m broad. He played football at West Orange-Stark High School, where he attended. In his senior year of high school, he had 15 interceptions.

He played collegiate football at the University of Alabama for the Alabama Crimson Tide squad. After redshirting his first year at Alabama in 2015, he participated in 14 games as a redshirt freshman in 2016 and made nine tackles. In the 14 games he participated as a sophomore in 2017, he recorded 25 tackles and one interception. In those games, he also had two starts.

He finished his sophomore year with 25 tackles, a pass breakup, a tackle for loss (-2 yards), and an interception that he returned 21 yards. He was selected as one of the UA coaching staff’s special teams players of the week for his performance against Tennessee and Mississippi State.

He started all 14 games he played in as a starter in 2018, compiling 78 tackles and 2 interceptions. In the fifth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals selected Thompson. He participated in 11 games and had 18 tackles in his first campaign. On September 27, 2022, the Cardinals released Thompson.
