Diaz is currently on IL, Dusty Baker, Diaz’s manager, stated on Thursday that Diaz is still dealing with an unnamed lingering injury, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.
The injury initially came to light on Sunday, when Diaz went 2-for-3 with a grand slam before leaving the eighth inning of the Astros’ 5-0 victory over the Tigers
Aledmys Diaz is a shortstop for the Houston Astros of Major League Baseball and wears jersey number 16. Diaz was born in Santa Clara, Cuba, on August 1, 1990.
