The Jets have taken defensive lineman Bryce Huff off injured reserve and have activated linebacker Hamsah Nasirildeen from injured reserve. In addition, quarterback Josh Johnson and defensive lineman Jabari Zuniga were promoted from the team’s practice squad to the active roster in preparation for the game against the Colts.

Earlier this week, Nasirildeen, a 6-3, 215-pounder who came out of Florida State and was selected in the sixth round of 2021, was designated to return to practice. On October 5th, he was sent to the injured reserve.

He has participated in 49 defensive snaps and 71 special teams snaps through the first four games of the season. He was a safety in college, starting 17 games in three seasons for the Seminoles (although only two games after missing seven games in 2020 while recovering from a knee injury). His career totals were 233 tackles and 4 interceptions. In 2019, he earned second-team All-ACC honors.

At this time, we do not have any information regarding the nature of Nasirildeen’s injuries. The player that came out of Florida State will have to sit out at least three consecutive games before being able to compete again.
