Isaiah Wynn is an American football offensive tackle for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Georgia and was selected by the Patriots in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
As a true freshman for the Georgia Bulldogs, Wynn participated in 11 different games. Wynn started all 25 of the team’s 26 games over the course of the 2015 and 2016 seasons, going a streak of 23 games without missing a start until an injury forced him to sit out a game against Louisiana.
Before the start of the 2017 campaign, Wynn was sick and had to skip a number of sessions. Wynn was honored with a spot on the All-American Second Team on December 11th, 2017. Wynn chose to study human development and family sciences for her undergraduate degree.
The New England Patriots selected Wynn with the 23rd overall pick in the first round of the 2018 National Football League Draft.
This selection was made with a pick that was received from the Los Angeles Rams in a trade that sent Brandin Cooks to Los Angeles.
Is Isaiah Wynn playing?
Bill Belichick, the head coach of the Patriots, stated earlier in the week that right lineman Isaiah Wynn has a chance of playing against the Dolphins despite suffering from a back issue; however, Wynn provided a more definitive response to a question about his availability on Friday.
Wynn has assured the media that he will definitely be participating in the first game of the season.
His participation in practice has been restricted all week, but the fact that he traveled to South Florida in order to participate in this week’s workouts was always a positive indicator of his prospects of being in the starting lineup.
