Jon batted in 287 plate appearances .273/.348/.406 for a 1.4 bWAR, including 6 home runs, 17 stolen bases, and 52 runs scored.

He lit up the New York Mets to the tune of a.372/.400/.581 line in 10 games, seemingly taking pleasure in hurting them (45 plate appearances).

In the shortened 2020 season, he rejoined the Marlins and once again embarrassed the Mets with a highlight-reel play on August 25.

He walked and stole second and third base in the second game of a doubleheader.

When pitcher Jeurys Familia failed to hold him at third base, he made the unique play by running for home after C Ali Solis, making his maiden start behind the plate, threw the ball back to the pitcher.

The Mets were utterly caught off guard, and Solis failed to hold on to Familia’s relay back, so he made it safely despite tripping along the way and placing his hands on the ground four times to keep himself balanced.

After the game, manager Luis Rojas said that third baseman J.D. Davis should also take some of the blame because he was so unaware of the runner and was playing so deep that Berti was able to stand a third of the way to home plate before being troubled in any manner.
