When Reynolds returned to the Binghamton organization for the 2014 season he was promoted to Triple-A Las Vegas 51s after a season-long hitting streak of 355. In 115 games with the 51s, he batted.267/.319/.402 with 65 runs batted in, six home runs, and six RBIs.

To make room for injured Rubén Tejada in the 2015 NLDS, Reynolds was sent down to Triple-A for the remainder of the regular season.

The first time this has happened in postseason baseball history, he became the first player with no previous major-league experience to be added to a team midway through a series.

After Chet Trail (of the 1964 New York Yankees World Series) and Mark Kiger (not on the active roster) were included on a playoff roster without prior major-league experience, he became the third such player in modern baseball history (of the Oakland Athletics in the 2006 American League Championship Series).

He was left out of the World Series roster and didn’t play in any playoff games at all.
