For the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League, Shaq Lawson is a defensive end who plays American football. He is 1.91 m tall and 121 kg in weight. He was a football player and went to D. W. Daniel High School. As a senior, he recorded 99 tackles and nine sacks; as a junior, he recorded 100 tackles and thirteen sacks.
He chose Clemson University to play collegiate football and was regarded as a four-star recruit by Rivals.com. From 2013 to 2015, he was a member of the Clemson Tigers’ college football team. He participated in every game in his debut season at Clemson, making 35 tackles and recording four sacks.
In 2014 as a sophomore, he participated in all 13 games once more and made one start. He recorded 44 tackles and 3.5 sacks for the entire season. In 2015, during his junior year, he started. He was chosen by the Buffalo Bills in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He agreed to a three-year, $30 million contract with the Miami Dolphins in March 2020. On August 6, 2020, the team put him on the COVID-19 roster and the reserve list.
He was made active the next day. He was dealt to the Houston Texans in March 2021. The New York Jets bought his contract from the Texans in August 2021. Lawson returned to the Buffalo Bills in March 2022 and signed a one-year contract with them.
