He wasn’t signed to a professional baseball contract after the season by the Chicago Cubs. He was a member of the Anchorage Bucs of the Alaska Baseball League that summer.
The 2016 season was his senior year when he participated in 56 games while hitting a combined.332/.399/.509 with two home runs and 36 RBIs, earning him a spot on the All-WCC Second Team.
