An’treyon “Trey” Sermon plays running back in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles. He attended Sprayberry High School in Marietta, Georgia. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of Oklahoma to play football for the Oklahoma Sooners there. As a true freshman, he played in all 14 games and started three.

On 121 carries, he finished the season having gained 744 yards and five touchdowns. As a sophomore in 2018, he teamed up with Kennedy Brooks and rushed for 947 yards on 164 touches while scoring 13 touchdowns. He played in nine games as a junior in 2019 and had 54 carries for 385 yards and four touchdowns.

He competed in the 2020 Big Ten Championship Game against Northwestern University and gained 331 rushing yards while attending Ohio State University as a graduate student in 2020. His running yards set records for both a Football Bowl Subdivision championship game and an Ohio State player in a single game.

He ran for 193 yards and a rushing touchdown in the 2021 Sugar Bowl, winning 49-28. He also caught 4 passes for 61 yards. The San Francisco 49ers selected Sermon in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. On August 31, 2022, the 49ers released him. He was taken off waivers by the Philadelphia Eagles on September 1, 2022.
