Is Tyler Allgeier Going To NFL: When Was Tyler Allgeier Drafted?

Tyler Allgeier

Tyler Allgeier attended Kaiser High School in Fontana, California, before enrolling as a preferred walk-on at Brigham Young University. AJ Steward, a former running back coach at BYU, made an effort to recruit Allgeier.

In Allgeier’s first-ever training camp, he got some work at both running back and slot wide receiver. Following Allgeier’s participation in his first fall camp at BYU, Steward remarked that the running back had “endless potential” in his future football career.

After graduating from high school, Allgeier decided to enroll at BYU because he liked the institution and appreciated the chances it presented to him.

Allgeier made the move from the offensive side to the defensive side at linebacker in 2019, following his redshirt season at BYU. The decision to make this move was influenced by the fact that Baltimore Ravens running back Ty’Son Williams transferred from South Carolina.

Allgeier showed himself to be a reliable linebacker, as he paced the team with nine tackles in the victory over unbeaten and No. 14 Boise State.

After finishing the 2019 season with 26 tackles, a slew of injuries forced him to swap positions and play running back once more. Allgeier finished 2019 with 119 rushing yards.
