Yu Chang whose full name is Yu-Cheng Chang is a professional baseball infielder who plays for the Tampa Bay Rays of Major League Baseball Yu Chang was born on August 18, 1995, in Taitung County in Taiwan. He was previously linked to the Cleveland Indians /Guardians and Pittsburgh Pirates.

He commenced his career first in the minor leagues when he signed with the Indians in the year 2013 as an international free agent worth an amount of $500,000. He was known to have made his first appearance after his signing with the Arizona League Indians who are of the Rookie-Level Arizona League where he recorded a batt figure of .346 with six home runs.

The year 2016 saw him recording a considerable amount of 259 batting average with 13 home and runs and 70 RBIs in several 109 games. He earned a rank title of being the best prospect going into the year 2018 season at the time. Then on June 28, 2019, he was promoted by the Indians to the major leagues. His first game was against the Baltimore Orioles where he played at the third base position. On August 25, he recorded his first career hit and a triple against the Kansas City Royals at the time.
