Isiah Pacheco joined the Kansas City Chiefs in the seventh round of the 2022 NFL Draft. The Vineland, New Jersey native is currently signed to a 4 year, $3,739,108 rookie contract with the team.

Before becoming a professional player in the NFL, Pacheco’s football journey started at a young age, when he used to practice at Vineland Blitz (Pop Warner Football League) in Cumberland County, New Jersey. Vineland Blitz is a youth sports organization that helps young athletes harness their talent.

Pacheco didn’t stop from there. He attended Vineland High School and played competitive high school football. He played as a utility player( quarterback and running back ) on the team.

As a senior, Pacheco led his team to an overall record of 8-2, which included trips to the playoffs for two consecutive years. In 2017, he was named to USA Today’s First Team All-USA New Jersey Football Team on defense.

Pacheco had a lot of offers from institutions including Syracuse, Maryland, Rutgers, Virginia Tech, and others. He eventually attended Rutgers University, where he played four seasons of college football for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Throughout his four years as a student at Rutgers, Pacheco was a regular member of the team and had significant playing time. He totaled 18 rushing touchdowns on 563 carries throughout his collegiate career. In addition, he had 47 receptions, for a total of 249 yards, and one touchdown.
