Joshua Dobbie “J. D” McKissic, a running back with the National Football League’s Washington Commanders, is their captain. He weighs 88 kg and stands 1.78 m tall. He played high school football while attending Central High School. After graduating from high school, he made the decision to attend Arkansas State University, where he played college football for the Arkansas State Red Wolves.
He was voted the Sun Belt Freshman of the Year, amassed 1,022 yards receiving, 103 receptions, and was a Scripps Freshman All-American. 289 receptions for 2,838 yards and 11 touchdowns were his final college stats. In the 2016 NFL Draft, McKissic went undrafted and later signed with the Atlanta Falcons. The Seattle Seahawks picked him up off waivers in December 2016. He was picked up off waivers by the Detroit Lions in September 2019.
He played in all 16 of the games that season, starting three of them, and totaled 38 carries for 205 rushing yards in addition to 34 receptions for 233 receiving yards and one receiving score. McKissic and the Washington Commanders football team agreed to a two-year contract in March 2020. After suffering a concussion, he was put on injured reserve.
