A defensive end for the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, Justin James “J. J.” Watt is a professional football player. He stands 1.96 meters tall and weighs 131 kilograms. He attended Pewaukee High School, where he played high school football. In his senior year, he won the Woodland Conference Player of the Year Award and was named to the first teams of the All-State, All-County, All-Area, and Conference defense ends teams.
He spent one season of collegiate football with the Central Michigan Chippewas at Central Michigan University. He participated in 14 games for Central Michigan, recording 77 receiving yards and 8 receptions. He started attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2008, where he played collegiate football for the Wisconsin Badgers.
He redshirted the 2008 season before being named the Wisconsin Scout Team Player of the Year at the University of Wisconsin. On March 1, 2021, Watt and the Arizona Cardinals reached an agreement on a $28 million, two-year contract with $23 million in guarantees.
