In the National Football League, Jabril Cox plays linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys. He is 1.91 m tall and weighs 109 kg. He attended and played football at Raytown South High School, where as a sophomore he started at linebacker and wide receiver, notching 101 tackles, 509 receiving yards, and 9 touchdowns in addition to being named All-Conference on defense.

He was chosen as the team’s starting dual-threat quarterback as a junior with 1,300 passing yards, 17 passing touchdowns, and 830 rushing yards while also being recognized as All-district and All-conference. After graduating from high school, he was given the opportunity to accept a football scholarship from North Dakota State University.

He departed after three seasons to enroll at Louisiana State University as a graduate transfer. He continued playing football for the LSU Tigers at Louisiana State. In that year, he finished third on the team with 58 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, one sack, one forced fumble, eight pass breakups, and three interceptions. Cox was selected by the Dallas Cowboys in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
