Jabril Cox

Jabril Cox is an American football linebacker who currently plays for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He was born on April 16, 1998.

In the fourth round of the NFL Draft in 2021, he was chosen by the Cowboys to join their team. Before moving to LSU, he participated in college football at North Dakota State,

where he won three FCS championships and was honored as the MVFC defensive player of the year. He then went on to play college football at LSU.

At Raytown South High School, Cox earned All-conference and All-district honors for his athletic performance.

As a senior, he had 2,103 yards throwing, 18 passing touchdowns, 1,004 yards rushing, and 13 rushing touchdowns.

His totals were impressive. Cox also played four years of starting positions for the school’s basketball and baseball teams. After accumulating 91 total tackles 9.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 7 quarterback hurries,

and 4 interceptions as a junior, he was awarded the title of conference Defensive Player of the Year and was placed on the first team of All-MVFC.

In the second round of the FCS playoffs, in which his team won 52–10 over Montana State University 54–13, he had 10 tackles.

For the second year in a row, both the MVFC and the Associated Press have placed him on the first team of All-MVFCS.

Cox’s team finished with a record of 45-1 overall and won three consecutive FCS Championships thanks in large part to Cox’s contributions.

He finished his career having played 45 games, starting 38 of them, compiling a total of 258 tackles 14 sacks, six interceptions, and two defensive touchdowns.

In 2020, he made the decision to pursue further development as a player by transferring to Louisiana State University in the capacity of a graduate student. Cox has stated that he will be entering the NFL Draft in 2021.
