Jace Whittaker Net Worth, Salary and Contract

There is a good chance that Jace Whittaker would have already played in the NFL if it weren’t for a pair of injuries that he suffered in 2018. Instead, he is going to start his professional career somewhat later, but it won’t be too far off.

The University of Arizona confirmed on Saturday that the defensive back will be signing with the Arizona Cardinals as an undrafted free agent.

Between the years of 2015 and 2019, Whittaker, who stands at 5-foot-11, started 32 games for Arizona, including all 12 as a redshirt senior. In 2019, he had three interceptions, which was the second-most on the team. He also had 55 tackles, including two for a loss, and a sack. Overall, he defended 34 passes over his career, which places him fourth in school history.

Whittaker suffered an injury to his hamstring in the preseason and then injured his elbow in the middle of September, forcing him to redshirt in 2018 after playing in just one game that season. He is capable of playing corner and safety, but he only played in one game that year.
Nearly every draft simulation predicted that he would not be selected at all.
