Jacob Alan Lemoine is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Oakland Athletics (MLB).

Lemoine went to Bridge City High School in Texas. The Texas Rangers selected him in the 21st round, 666th overall, of the MLB draft in 2012, but he did not sign.

He attended the University of Houston from 2013 to 2015 and played baseball for the Cougars. 2014 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team pitcher who went 2–2 with a 2.50 ERA in 18+1/3 innings.



In 2015, as a junior, he had a right shoulder injury that limited him to only five games.

 

The Texas Rangers chose him in the fourth round, 108th overall, of the 2015 MLB draft, and he signed with them for a $528,000 bonus.

 

After undergoing rotator cuff surgery for right shoulder issues, Lemoine did not play in a professional game in 2015 or 2016.

 

2017 was his professional debut with the Class A South Atlantic League’s Hickory Crawdads, where he went 3–4 with a 2.80 ERA in 70 innings.

 

He spent the 2018 season with the Class A-Advanced Carolina League’s Down East Wood Ducks, where he went 3–4 with a 2.20 ERA in 56 innings.

 

He divided the 2019 season between the Double-A Frisco RoughRiders of the Texas League and the Triple-A Nashville Sounds of the Pacific Coast League, going a combined 2–2 with a 4.50 ERA over 54+3 innings.

Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the 2020 Minor League Baseball season was canceled, and Lemoine did not play.

In 56+3 innings pitched with the Triple-A West’s Round Rock Express in 2021, Lemoine went 7–4 with a 2.80 earned run average and 43 strikeouts. After the 2021 campaign, he became a free agent.
