Jake Cousins is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was drafted by the Washington Nationals in the 20th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft.

After he played collegiate summer baseball for the Harwich Mariners of the Cape Cod Baseball League, Jake was signed by the Washington Nationals.

Luck found Jake Cousins as he got selected in the 20th round, 613th overall, of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft by the Washington Nationals.

He was assigned to the GCL Nationals and played with the Low-A Auburn Doubledays. His performance with the Auburn Doubledays saw him accumulating a 2-2 record and 2.48 ERA in 18 appearances.

The following year, Jake made 7 appearances for the Nationals posting a 4.09 ERA in 11.0 innings of work. Unfortunately, Jake Cousins was hit by a severe injury which got him released on March 27, 2019.

Cousins joined the independent Frontier League’s Schaumburg Boomers. Cousins pitched 15 innings in relief for the Boomers, posting a 0.47 ERA and 18 strikeouts.
