Elliott was born in Western Springs, Illinois, to Bruce and Diane Elliott. When he was very young, he excelled in many sports, including baseball, basketball, and tennis. He was considered among the state’s best youth tennis players.

He was born on January 21, 1995. He is an American football placekicker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Memphis. He was part of the Eagles Super Bowl LII championship team against the New England Patriots.

Elliott started playing football after a Lyons assistant coach discovered his skill at a Homecoming student field goal-kicking competition. Elliott attended Lyons Township High School in La Grange, Illinois.



He spent the three years before this at Lyons Township playing tennis. He was an ESPNHS underclassman and a First-team All-State selection by the Chicago Tribune prior to his junior season.

During his junior year, he defeated Oak-Park River Forest High School, 16–14, with a 52-yard field goal with no time left.

He was chosen as Second-team kicker for Kohl’s All-America List as a senior after making 15 of 21 field goal tries. Elliott received full scholarships from the Universities of North Dakota and Memphis following his senior season. He made the Memphis Tigers his team of choice.

Elliott attended Memphis and competed in college football there from 2013 to 2016[8]. He was coached by Mike Norvell, Justin Fuente, and Darrell Dickey while there.

On February 9, 2017, it was announced that Elliott was entering the 2017 NFL Draft.
