Jake Daniel Elliott is a placekicker for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League in American football (NFL).

He went to Memphis to play college football. He played for the Super Bowl LII champion Philadelphia Eagles, who defeated the New England Patriots.

In Western Springs, Illinois, Elliott was born to Bruce and Diane Elliott. As a youngster, he was an outstanding baseball, basketball, and tennis player. He was recognized as one of the state’s best young tennis players.

A Lyons Township High School assistant football coach recognized Elliott’s ability during a Homecoming student field goal kicking competition and recruited him to play football at the La Grange, Illinois high school.

At Lyons Township, he had previously played tennis for three years. Before his junior year, he was an ESPNHS underclassman and was named to the Chicago Tribune’s First Team All-State. He defeated Oak-Park River Forest High School 16-14 in his junior year with a last-second 52-yard field goal.

He made 15 of 21 field goal attempts as a senior, earning a spot on Kohl’s All-America Second Team. Following his senior year, Elliott received full scholarships to the University of North Dakota and the University of Memphis. He chose to sign on with the Memphis Tigers.

On February 9, 2017, it was announced that Elliott was entering the 2017 NFL Draft.
