Jake McQuaide is a veteran long snapper who is signed to the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. The former Ohio state player had a successful college career before he was signed by the St. Louis Rams as an undrafted free agent in 2011.

During his first year with the Ohio State Buckeyes, McQuaide was rotated in the first seven games at long snapper, along with seniors Dimitrios Makridis and Jackson Haas.

As a result of his inconsistent play, he was taken out of the lineup for the remaining six games of the season.



He received a football scholarship while serving as the team’s long snapper on punts and place kicks as a sophomore.

Throughout his time at college, he continued to serve as the team’s long snapper, but he was never given the opportunity to play the tight end position.

Jake McQuaide joined the Rams in 2011 and played for the team from that time till 2020. He was also the long snapper for the Rams in every game.

After ten years of his time with the Rams, McQuaide joined the Cowboys as a free agent and the replacement of long snapper L. P. Ladouceur.
