Jalen Mills participates in professional football as a cornerback for the National Football League’s New England Patriots. He is 87 kilograms and 1.83 meters tall. Prior to switching to DeSoto High School in DeSoto, Texas, for his final year, he attended Lancaster High School. He made 26 tackles, one interception, and six pass breaks in 2011.

He signed with Louisiana State University (LSU) to play college football under head coach Les Miles and was rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com. He represented the LSU Fighting Tigers in collegiate football. In his true freshman season, Mills started all 13 games at cornerback, compiling 57 tackles and two interceptions. He once more started all 13 games as a sophomore and finished with 67 tackles, three interceptions, and three sacks.

He started one game at cornerback and 12 at safety as a junior. He had 62 tackles and one interception at the season’s end. He was injured in his senior year and missed the first six games. He was selected a 2015 All-American by CBS Sports despite the lost time. In the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles made him their selection.

The Eagles signed Mills in May 2016 to a four-year, $2.41 million deal with a signing bonus of $75,856. The Eagles placed him on the COVID-19 list in December 2020, and he was activated in January 2021. Mills and the New England Patriots agreed to a four-year, $24 million contract in March 2021.
