James Ferentz, who was born on June 5, 1989, plays center for the National Football League’s New England Patriots. He was a 2014 undrafted free agent who was signed by the Houston Texans. In college, he played football for Iowa. He’s also had experience with the Denver Broncos.

During the final roster cuts on August 31, 2019, Ferentz was let go. With Russell Bodine’s release on September 6, 2019, he was re-signed.
Ferentz joined the Patriots’ training staff on September 16, 2020. On September 26, 2020, he was added to the active roster. On October 16, the team placed him on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and he was activated on October 28.
Ferentz renewed his contract with the Patriots on May 17, 2021. Ferentz was released on August 31 and later added the next day to the practice squad. Oct. 27 saw his addition to the active roster. He was reinstated to the practice squad after being discharged on November 8, 2021.
