James Calvin White, a running back with the National Football League’s New England Patriots, was born on February 3, 1992. He attended Wisconsin during his collegiate football career before being taken by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
He is mostly used as a receiver, and in Super Bowl LI, he set the Super Bowl records for receptions and points scored. White and Darren Sproles share the record for the most receptions in a playoff game.
White went to Florida’s Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas High School. He represented the Raiders while they’re in high school football. He played for the St. Thomas Aquinas team that won the national championship in 2008.
The New England Patriots selected White in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft (130th overall). Only three of the Patriots’ games saw him in action.
He played in his first NFL game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4. He had three carries for 21 yards and three receptions for 15 yards in the 41-14 defeat.
White and the Patriots agreed to a two-year, $5 million contract extension on March 15, 2022.
