The New England Patriots selected White in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft (130th overall). White played for the Patriots in just three games. He played in his first NFL game against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.

He had three carries for 21 yards and three receptions for 15 yards in the 41-14 defeat. In Super Bowl XLIX, the team defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 with him sitting out.
