Jarred Kelenic Children: Does Jarred Kelenic Have Any Kids?

A strange training video that Kelenic released in February 2019 showed him performing yoga with a goat garnered media attention (something which was apparently becoming a thing and was not just a personal quirk).

Jarred Kelenic was featured on the American League team’s roster for the 2019 Futures Game.

He played for three different clubs that year, beginning with the West Virginia Power in the South Atlantic League, moving up through the ranks to the Modesto Nuts in the California League and the Arkansas Travelers in the Texas League before turning 20 and reaching the major leagues with the A’s.

He played in 117 games and had a combined batting line of .291/.364/.540 with 31 doubles, 23 home runs, 80 runs scored, and 68 runs batted in.

But the Coronavirus outbreak, which ruined the 2020 minor league season, caused him to lose momentum.

He was only allowed to play intra-squad games at the Mariners’ secondary training center since the team did not bring him up to at least give him a small taste of the Show.

That decision was apparently motivated by cost considerations because the following spring, a Mariners executive was overheard admitting that the team purposefully slowed some of its top prospects’ development to postpone the time at which they would become eligible for arbitration.

This was a practice that had long been rumored to exist but was consistently denied by the teams.
