He was chosen for the district’s second team that year. He attended the University of Houston and began his NCAA football career with the Houston Cougars as a two-star recruit. He played in three games in 2017 and eight games as a redshirt freshman in 2016.



In 2018, he began thirteen games as a starter, earning him a spot at the beginning. He made four starts in 2019 before suffering a season-ending injury. In June 2020, he changed schools and joined the Miami Hurricanes football team at the University of Miami.
