On January 22, 1982, Jason Peters was born in Queen City, Texas. In the NFL, he is a tackle. Peters played football for the Arkansas Razorbacks at the University of Arkansas after starring in both football and basketball at Queen City High School (TX).



He was initially signed as a defensive tackle, but he played reserve defensive lineman his first season. Later, he was switched to tight end, where as a sophomore, he caught four receptions for 37 yards.

Peters was named to the second team of the SEC after posting 21 receptions for 218 yards and four touchdowns during his junior season. In April 2004, the Buffalo Bills signed Peters as an undrafted rookie free agent.



He was released then re-signed to the practice squad of the Bills. On November 12, 2004, he was added to the active roster. Peters received his first Super Bowl ring after the Eagles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, 41-33. He joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 2009 and has since played with them.

He also played for the Philadelphia Eagles for the next 12 seasons, until 2021, when he was traded to the Chicago Bears.

He was acquired by the Eagles in a trade in 2009. Peters was a football player for the Arkansas Razorbacks during his time in college. After being recruited to play defensive tackle, he ended up spending his first season with the team as a reserve defensive lineman instead.

Peters earned a spot on the All-SEC second team in his junior year after recording 21 receptions for 218 yards and four touchdowns, which led to his nomination for that team.

In his final year at Virginia Tech, Peters finished with 61 knockdown blocks, more than double the number of catches. Many people thought he was a carbon copy of Orson Mobley, a former big for the Denver Broncos. In the 2004 NFL Draft, he was anticipated to be a pick early in the fourth round, but he did not get picked.

On April 17, 2009, the Buffalo Bills sent Jason Peters to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for another player. In May of 2012, while working out outside of the regular season, he suffered a second rupture of his Achilles tendon.

Peters renewed his contract with the Eagles in February 2014, committing to the team for the next five years at a total value of $51.3 million.
