Ja’Wuan James is a professional football player who competes for the National Football League’s Baltimore Ravens as an offensive tackle. He went to Suwanee, Georgia’s North Gwinnett High School. North Gwinnett made it to the GHSA Class 5A state championship game during his sophomore campaign. Rivals.com gave him a four-star rating and ranked him as the sixth-best Georgia prospect and the eighth-best offensive tackle prospect in his class.

He attended the University of Tennessee after graduating from high school, where he played football from 2010 to 2013 for the Tennessee Volunteers. From 2010 until 2013, James was a student at the University of Tennessee. He kicked off 49 straight games for the Volunteers. He was a star offensive lineman. James was chosen by the Miami Dolphins in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

The Miami Dolphins chose to exercise James’ rookie contract’s fifth-year, $9.34 million option on May 1st, 2017. He agreed to a $41 million, four-year contract with the Denver Broncos in March 2019. He agreed to a two-year, $9 million deal with the Baltimore in June 2021. On August 31, 2021, he was added on the reserve/non-football injury list to begin the season. James was given the go-ahead to start practicing again off the reserve/non-football injury list on December 8, 2021.
