Football safety Jayron Kearse is well-known for playing with the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He is 1.93 m tall and 103 kg in weight. He was a freshman and junior at Cypress Lake High School. He transferred to South Fort Myers High School as a senior in 2012, where he played football as a safety, running back, and wide receiver.
After rushing for 528 yards (12.3 yards per carry) and five touchdowns, he helped his team to an 11-2 record. He earned a football scholarship from Clemson University after high school and studied strong safety there from 2013 to 2015 under head coach Dabo Swinney.
He recorded 164 total tackles in 1,998 snaps across 40 games, including 29 starts, along with seven interceptions, 11 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two recovered fumbles. Kearse was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft as the 244th overall pick. In March 2020, he made a one-season commitment to the Detroit Lions.
In July 2020, he received a three-game suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy. In December 2020, he joined the practice squad of the Baltimore Ravens. In March 2021, he signed a free agent contract with the Dallas Cowboys. On March 21, 2022, Kearse agreed to an additional $10 million extension on his Cowboys contract.
