Jed Lowrie is an American professional baseball infielder for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the Boston Red Sox, Houston Astros, and New York Mets.
On April 4, 2009, Jed Lowrie hit the first major league home run at Citi Field with a grand slam during spring training. Before being placed on the 15-day injured list on April 13, Lowrie appeared in just five games for the Boston Red Sox during the 2009 regular season (retroactive to April 12).
