Jeffrey Robert Hoffman, an American professional baseball pitcher with the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball, was born on January 8, 1993. (MLB). He was previously with the Colorado Rockies. Hoffman attended East Carolina University and played baseball there.

Hoffman began his baseball career as a pitcher for the Shaker high school team in Latham, New York. In his junior season, he went 7–0. During his senior year, Hoffman led Shaker High School to fetch its first Section II Class AA title game since 2002, defeating town rival Colonie High School. Reports indicate that, during his high school days, he persevered to gain that recognition, and in one way or the other it paid off.

At college in the year 2012, he made a post record of 3-2, a save, and a 3.67 ERA with the East Carolina Pirates baseball team in the year 2012. He played 10 out of a number of 19 games. In 2013, he again posted a record of 6-7, an ERA of 3.20, and an innings value of 109 with some 84 strikeouts.

Hoffman’s professional career began with the Toronto Blue Jays and was recognized as the 2014 Major League Baseball’s best prospect. He was selected by the Jays in the first round of the draft pick. He then moved to Colorado and then to the Cincinnati Reds on November 25, 2020.
