He played collegiate football for the South Alabama Jaguars of the University of South Alabama for four of his four seasons. Due to his performance, in which he registered eight tackles and a pick, he was granted an invitation to the 2018 Senior Bowl.

Reaves signed on as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia Eagles in April 2018. The Eagles released him on September 1st of this year. On September 12, 2018, he was included in the Washington Redskins’ practice squad. On December 22, 2018, he made his NFL debut after being added to the Commanders’ active roster in December.
