Jhon Romero, full name Jhon Jairo Romero plays professional baseball for the Minnesota Twins baseball team. Jhon is from Colombia and plays as a pitcher for Twins. He was born onJanuary 17, 1995 in Cartagena in Colombia. Growing up, he played as a catcher, but as time went on, he began finding success as a pitcher.

He was signed as an international free agent by the Chicago Cubs in 2015. He made his professional debut that year with Dominican Summer League affiliate. He played again for them in 2016. During the 2017 minor league season, the Cubs assigned him to the Cubs’ stateside affiliates and also played in the Arizona League Cubs with the short-season Eugene Emeralds of the Northwest League.

He played with the South Bend Cubs of the Midwest League before the season ended. He was promoted to the Myrtle Beach Pelicans in the Advanced-A Carolina League in 2018. He was traded to the Washington Nationals in July 2018. He did not play in 2020 as the season got cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the 2021 season, he was promoted from the Double-A Harrisburg Senators to the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings.

The Nationals promoted him to the major leagues in September 2021 and he made his MLB debut on September 24, 2021. He was claimed off waivers in March 2022 by the Minnesota Twins.
