While with the Greenville Drive in 2017, he went 6-6, 4.57 in his full-season debut. The left-hander was divided between Salem and Greenville in 2018 (0-1, 3 R in 4 1/3 IP) (11-8, 3.00).

He shared the lead in victories with Tyler Phillips in the South Atlantic League, the most strikeouts with Spencer Howard and Tony Dibrell, the 5th-best WHIP (1.06) and the 8th-best ERA (with Domingo Robles and Reid Anderson.) with all of these players.

He finished second in the Red Sox farm system in wins, ERA, and strikeouts, all behind Denyi Reyes (151, six behind Kutter Crawford).
