Joe Cardona plays as a long snapper for the New England Patriots of the National Football League. He attended Granite Hills High School and graduated from there in 2010. Before applying to the Naval Academy, he spent a year attending the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island. He played football there for the Navy Midshipmen team while majoring in economics.
He started each game while he was a long snapper for the Navy for four years. When the New England Patriots selected Cardona in the fifth round of the NFL Draft, he became the fourth pure long snapper ever selected in that round.
