Joseph Perez, professionally called Joe Perez is an American-born professional baseball player. He plays the position of the third baseman for the Houston Astros baseball team of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut for the Astros in April 2022.
He was born and raised in Florida on August 12, 1999. He had his high school education and baseball career at Archbishop McCarthy High School in Southwest Ranches, Florida where he played l for the school’s baseball team.
Joe was drafted out of high school by the Houston Astros in the 2nd round of the 2017 MLB draft. He signed with them and forwent his intent to play college baseball at the University of Miami. He made his professional debut the following season with the Gulf Coast Astros.
He spent the 2019 season with the Tri-City Valley Cats. He did not play a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the 2021 season, he played for the Fayetteville Woodpeckers and was promoted during the season to the Asheville Tourists and Corpus Christi Hooks.
