Joseph Perez is one of the professional baseball players with the Houston Astros baseball team. He plays as third baseman for the team and has a height of 1.88 m. He was born on August 12, 1999, in Pembroke Pines, Florida in the United States to Mike and Elena Perez.
Joe’s Alma mater is Archbishop McCarthy High School in Southwest Ranches, Florida m whiles in high school, he recorded a .526 with nine home runs and 37 runs batted in (RBIs) and went 4–0 with a 1.88 earned run average (ERA) and 40 Strikeouts.
He had wanted to go play college baseball at the University of Miami but he decided to sign with the Houston Astros when they drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2017 MLB draft. He made his professional debut in 2018 when he was assigned to play with the Gulf Coast Astros.
He spent the 2019 season with the Tri-City Valley Cats. He did not play a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. He played for the Fayetteville Woodpeckers in 2021 and earned a promotion later in the season to spend the rest of the season with Asheville Tourists and Corpus Christi Hooks.
In November that year, the Astros added him to their 40-man roster. He was promoted to the major leagues on April 8, 2022, and he made his MLB debut that day for the team.
