Joseph Daniel Votto is a Canadian-American professional baseball first baseman for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball.

Born on September 10, 1983 (age 38 years), in Toronto, Canada, Joey Votto is known to have a very tall height that stands at 1.88 m.

Joseph happens to be the first Canadian MLB player since Larry Walker to hit 300 home runs and have 1,000 career runs batted in.

He is the son of his parents by the names of Wendy Votto and Joseph Votto who gave birth to him and his three siblings by the names of  Tyler Votto, Ryan Votto and Paul Votto.

Votto began his high school education at the  Richview Collegiate Institute in 1997. He is known to have played basketball during his days at high school playing point guard and once scored 37 points in a game.

The baseball player is also known to have continued his education to college at the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers where he played college baseball for the school team.

Votto is known for being a clutch hitter. Through June 9, 2014, he had a career .312 batting average, 163 home runs, and 542 runs batted in.
