He batted .266 with 46 RBI in 132 games at both levels in 2014. Camargo hit .258 with 32 RBI in 130 games at High-A Carolina in 2015.

Camargo was selected for the Arizona Fall League with Peoria after winning All-Star honors in the Carolina League.

Camargo, who is almost exclusively a shortstop, started 2016 at second base for Double-A Mississippi to make room for Ozzie Albies and Dansby Swanson.

Camargo played third base when all three were on the team, and after Swanson was promoted to the majors, he took over at shortstop.

Camargo hit .267 in 126 games, with a career-high four home runs and 43 RBI. After the season, the Braves added him to their 40-man roster.
