John King Wife: Is John King Married?

John Edward King is a Major League Baseball pitcher who currently pitches for the Texas Rangers (MLB).



William P. Clements High School in Sugarland, Texas, is where King went to high school. When he attended Angelina Collegiate in Texas in 2014 and 2015,

he played college baseball. For the next two years, he attended the University of Houston, where he played for the Cougars.



He tore the UCL in his left elbow during his senior season, yet he continued to pitch despite the injury.

The Texas Rangers selected him in the 10th round of the 2017 MLB draft, with the 314th overall selection, and signed him to a $10,000 signing bonus.

On July 5, 2017, King had Tommy John’s surgery. The following September, he played one game for the

AZL Rangers of the Rookie-level Arizona League, and three games for the Spokane Indians in the Class A Short Season Northwest League.

In his first season in the South Atlantic League, he went 1–2 with a 3.42 ERA in 26+13 innings for the Hickory Crawdads.

On May 10, he was promoted to the Down East Wood Ducks of the Carolina League.  and pitched 71 innings with them, going 2–4.
