Jonathan David Berti is a Major League Baseball utility player for the Miami Marlins. He played for the Toronto Blue Jays before.

Berti went to high school in Troy, Michigan, and played baseball for the school team.

Berti was chosen in the 36th round of the 2008 Major League Baseball draft by the Oakland Athletics, but he did not sign.

Berti went to Bowling Green State University, where he played baseball for the Bowling Green Falcons baseball team.

Berti set single-season records for the Falcons with a batting average of .423, 93 hits, and six triples, which tied the single-season record.

His 17 triples in his career were also a record. He played summer college baseball for the Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod Baseball League in 2010.

In the 2011 Major League Baseball draft, the Toronto Blue Jays picked Berti in the 18th round, with the 559th overall pick.

He played in the Short Season-A Northwest League for the Vancouver Canadians, where he stole 23 bases and hit.291 with 21 RBI.

In 2012, he played for the Class A Lansing Lugnuts and the Advanced-A Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League (FSL).

Berti hit .241 in 110 games and had two home runs, 40 RBI, and 34 stolen bases. Berti played for the Dunedin team in 2013 and stole 56 bases, which was the most in the FSL.

Berti played for the Canberra Cavalry in the 2013–14 season of the Australian Baseball League (ABL). He stole 31 bases in 46 games, which was an ABL record.

He also hit .309 and drove in 18 runs. In the 2013 Asia Series, he stole four more bases.
