Jonah Heim is an American professional baseball catcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2020 for the Oakland Athletics.
Both Kenmore East High School and Amherst Central High School are located in Tonawanda and Snyder, respectively, in upstate New York.

It was during this time that he was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the third round of the 2013 MLB draft and signed as a free agent by the Delmarva Shorebirds of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. The Frederick Keys were the team he joined at the start of 2016.
