On his pro day, Marshall performed well in the tests, clocking a 4.81 in the 40-yard sprint and 36 reps in the bench press.

Sincerely, I feel like my pro day really helped me, stated Marshall. “I feel like everyone believed I was moving more slowly than I was.”

Later, he added: “I think it’s a great deal because I’m going to show up and do all in my power to establish my true self. I’m entering with a lot of momentum.”

Marshall excelled in basketball and football while attending Shepherd High School in Texas. He also established a shot put school record there (54-0.75).

In the 2016 state championship, he came in sixth. Before switching to Arkansas, he pledged his commitment to Oklahoma State.
