On September 3, 2013, the Orioles recalled Schoop from the Triple-A Norfolk Tides.

On September 25, 2013, Schoop hit a single off Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Esmil Rogers in his first major league at-bat.

He blasted his first professional home run against Kyle Drabek two at-bats later, measuring 430 feet. He went 2-for-3 with a home run, an RBI, a walk, and three runs scored in the game.

Schoop hit .286 (4-for-14) in five games at the end of the season, scoring five runs, hitting one home run, and driving in one run.

Schoop hit his second career home run off of Yankees RHP Masahiro Tanaka on April 9, 2014, a towering three-run homer over the left-field foul pole at Yankee Stadium that helped the Orioles win 5–4.

Schoop batted .209 in 137 games in 2014, with 16 home runs and 45 RBI. The Orioles won their first AL East regular season championship since 1997 with a record of 96–66.

In the Orioles’ ALDS sweep of the Detroit Tigers, Schoop hit .300 and drove in two runs. Schoop, on the other hand, only hit .091 (1-for-11) in the ALCS, as the Orioles were swept by the Kansas City Royals.

Schoop hit his first career grand slam against Toronto Blue Jays reliever Todd Redmond on April 11, 2015.

Schoop tore his PCL and injured his MCL during a game against the Boston Red Sox on April 17, 2015, forcing the Orioles to place him on the disabled list.
