For the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League, professional football player Jonathan Ward is a running back. 92 kg and 1.83 meters tall is his height and weight. Football was something he played when a student at Bishop McNamara High School. Following high school, he enrolled at Central Michigan University and became a member of the collegiate squad for the Central Michigan Chippewas.

With the Central Michigan Chippewas for four seasons, he finished his collegiate career with 2,539 yards and 28 touchdowns on 473 carries and 98 receptions for 909 yards and four more. In April 2020, the Arizona Cardinals signed Ward as an undrafted free agent. He was cut off the roster on September 5, 2020, and the following day, he was re-signed to the team’s practice squad.

On September 26, 2020, he was added to the Cardinals’ active roster, and the following day, he participated in his debut NFL contest. He was dropped to the practice squad following the game, but on October 3, 2020, he received a second promotion in time for the week 4 game against the Carolina Panthers. He was added to the active roster in the same month. In Week 17 of the 2020 season, Ward caught his first pass of the game, resulting in a gain of eleven yards.
